Sanjay Shejwal

Sanjay Shejwal is an Indian film and television actor who predominantly works in Marathi and Hindi languages. Sanjay Shejwal was born to Shivram Shejwal and Vasanti Shejwal on 19th September in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his schooling in Sheth Gopalji Hemraj High School in Borivali, Mumbai, and then graduated in Commerce from Prahladrai Dalmia Lions College in Mumbai. Sanjay exhibited outstanding performance in studies as well as extra-curricular activities. He shined in several activities, and some of them are theatre dramas, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Martial arts, etc. For the love of acting, Sanjay Shejwal completed his Masters in Theatre Arts from the Academy of Theatre Arts at the University of Mumbai and has done several plays in Marathi, Hindi, and English.

Sanjay Shejwal’s entered the entertainment world as a model during his college days. The ETV Marathi show ‘Kata RuteKunala’ is his first project in Marathi. Next year, Sanjay Shejwal appeared in ETV Gujarathi’s EkPhoolKhile ChheAag Ma. Further, he featured in DD Sahyadri shows Sushila, Ek Rikam Gharate, and Oon Sawali. Sanjay Shejwal’s 2009 project also includes Star Pravah’s Vachan Dile Tu Mala. Sanjay Shejwal stepped into films with the 2012 Marathi movie Saubhagya Maza Daiwat in the role of Prakash. In 2014, he got selected to play the male lead in the picture Prem PahilVahil.

Prem PahilVahil is a movie about first love, and Sanjay Shejwal plays the character Rahul opposite actress Nisha Pardeshi. In 2014, he starred in the film Laxmi Tuzyavina which revolves around Sanjay Shejwal Priyanka Dnyanlaxmi, Sai Ranade Sane, and their love triangle. In this film, Sanjay Shejwal took up the double role first time as Krish and Satish. In the 2017 Marathi movie Tatva, we saw him in the part of Likhit. The movie revolves around Shilpa and Likhit and how they fight against casteism to stay together. In 2019, his film Dome got released, and in 2020, Inhrat got released. In Ibhrat, Sanjay Shejwal played the role of Malhar, and the movie talks about the caste system in rural Maharashtra.

Sanjay Shejwal acted in the theatre drama Priya Bawari which won the Limca Book of Record for Theatre dramas. For his acting, he won the Ma. Ta. Sanman Best Actor award and Maharashtra Government Best Actor Award for Theatre Drama. Besides, he took part in the celebrity dance reality show Nach Dhamal and ended up the runner-up.
