Bunny Reuben

Bunny Reuben was a Jewish origin creator who contributed immensely to the Indian Film and Drama industry. Besides being a film Historian, he was interested in fiction and nonfiction works. He has also created wonderful short stories like 'Monkey On The Hill Of God.' His work on Raj Kapoor's biography was the result of 40 years of observance and endeavor.

He used to have all the information regarding Bollywood's reports of what's going between a hero and a heroine, which is evident in his quotes about Raj Kapoor and Nargis, what is up with the production houses, etc. He was a vivid personality filled with contrasting colors of talent and passion. He left Film fare in the 1950s to pursue his dream of a production. Aashiq (Lover) is a film he produced that failed to gain commercial success because the film was well before its time. Later he returned to film journalism. He was not a biased author and used the critical analysis aspect in the best possible way in his works.

On the one hand, he praises Raj Kapoor for his enduring aura in the industry, but on the other hand, he mentioned that Raj couldn't go beyond comics in terms of reading. Bunny Reuben passed away on 15th February 2007, survived by his wife and two daughters. He has contributed some remarkably evergreen works to Bollywood's treasure trove, which will be cherished forever.
