Hindi Cinematographer Dwarka Divecha

Dwarkadas Divecha was an Indian cinematographer born on 19th March; 1918 in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. He has worked in about 30 movies as a cameraman and cinematographer and won the Filmfare award for the Best Photographer in black and white for the film Yasmin. The film Sholay was unique for him because he was in charge of the special effects, and creation on the sets. It was a blockbuster and the audience was satisfied with his photography skills and encouraged him whole-heartedly. He performed in many films such as Sanjog, Ratan, Paras, Dastan, Yasmin, Chhoti Behan, Sasural, Amrapali, Lal Patthar, Trishna, and many more. He died on 5th January; 1978.
