Rajeev Kumar Jasroita was born on 17 March 1980 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. He completed his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, pursued a bachelor’s degree in Science.
He is an Indian cinematographer and is well-known for working in camera and electrical departments for projects like Pushpa: The Rise (2021), Adipurush (2023), Varisu (2023), etc. He has also served as director of photography in various TV shows such as Zindagi Ki Mehak (2018), Waaris (2016-17), and Mere Rang Mein Rangne Waali (2014).
He was awarded the Mata Award for Best Cinematographer for the TV show, Check and Mate in the Year (2011). He is the former Arri Trinity Steadicam Operator in India. Cinematographer Jasrotia is an eminent scuba diver with an Indian Diving Standard (IDS) certified course conducted by the Indian Navy.
