Sejal Bhat is India’s finest Stand-up comic who attained the limelight after her stint in Comicstaan. Born in Mumbai, Sejal Bhat is from a Kashmiri Pandit family. Sejal’s father being a banker, her family moved around a lot, and she lived in almost eight states. So, besides Hindi, Sejal is fluent in English, Kashmiri, and Tamil. She completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya School and enrolled in M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai, in 2010 to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. After Sejal Bhat’s degree completion in 2013, she worked as an Asset Management Analyst for Goldman Sachs in Bangalore for two years. Later she quit the job to work as the managing editor for an agriculture magazine in 2016. Sejal Bhat gave the auditions for the stand-up comedy competition television series by Amazon Prime video in 2017.

Blessed with a great sense of humor by nature, she topped the auditions with high scores and got selected as one of the top ten contestants for the show. Throughout the show, Sejal addressed a lot of serious topics comically. Although she didn’t end up winning the title, Sejal received praises for her stunning performance in the show. Her stand-up videos The Chaddi Story and Bollywood and copying have garnered more than a million views and still going strong. From lacking the confidence to face the audience to own the stage with much power, Sejal Bhat’s journey into the comic world is nothing but her pure hard work.
