Vijay Chavan was a Television actor in the Indian Film Industry. He was born on 2 May 1955. He did his graduation from D.G Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai. Vijay Chavan entered the world of Theatre through inter-drama competitions. He made his theatre debut with the Marathi play TurTur. He was best known for portraying the role of women named Mavashi in the Marathi stage drama “Moruchi Mavashi,” written by Pralhad Keshav Atre.
He made his debut in the Marathi film industry with Vahinichi Maya in 1985. In 2018 he was honored with Chitrapati V Shantaram Lifetime achievement award by the Maharashtra Government. Vijay Chavan died at the age of 63 on 24 August 2018. Vijay has acted in more than 300 Marathi and Hindi Films in his 31 years of carrier.
