Milind Date is a music composer and flute player of Indian origins. He was born in Pune in the state of Maharashtra. ‘The Earth Concerto’ was an album co-produced and composed by him along with other musicians from Korea, India, Iraq, Morocco, Iran, and Israel. This album was felicitated with several awards. He has also done different albums with a Scottish singer Tanmayo and an American album titled ‘Fantasy’ with Angeli. Milind has toured throughout the country performing, for the past five years with his group Milind Date Experience. He went on his first American tour in 2013 and performed Indian Classical music throughout the States, which was followed by ‘World is Round – 2013’ – his world tour. He composed the music for the 2017 Emmy Award-winning movie Among the Believers which was also screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. His spiritual nature is reflected in his albums like Milder Milind (2015) launched on the occasion of Gudhi Padwa and Sunand Sarang (2015) on the festival of Janamashtami.

The album Milder Milind (2015) received a nomination at the Global Indian Music Academy Awards (GIMA). He has also released a collection of meditational songs in collaboration with Manish Vyas. He has been felicitated with the Economic Times Gen Next Award (2020) and Femina Pune's Most Powerful Award (2019). He has also had the honor of performing for former President Pranab Mukherjee and Russian President Vladimir Putin on different occasions. He has been given the title Virtuoso for his flawless flute playing skills. He has been credited for creating new ragas including Madhav Bhairav, Uday Chandrika, Mugdha Chandrika, Hari Mohini, Zim Kalyan, Sunand Bhairav, Narendra Kaunsa, Hussaini Bhairav, Mangeshi Todi( which was a tribute to the Mangeshkar family), Divya Chandrika among others.
