Amit Ravindernath Sharma is an Indian director and producer. He was born on 13 April 1980 in Delhi, India. His mother worked at the Doordarshan, and his father was a government employee. For his education, he went to a government co-ed senior secondary school in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. During his school days, he got introduced to director Pradeep Sarkar and was invited to shoot with him. After his graduation and before moving to Mumbai, he worked with Pradeep Sarkar for 6 years. Later in 2004, he built his own company called Chrome Pictures with Aleya Sen and Hemant Bhandari. In 2014, he directed Tevar, produced by Boney Kapoor.

Amit also worked on the movie "Badhaai Ho" as a director. For this movie, he also got the National Film Award for Best Film Popular for Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
