Jigyasa Taneja Sethi is an extremely talented director who was born in Delhi. After excelling in studies during her school days, she got into Lady Shriram College, DU. It was in Delhi University, where she first discovered her talents of filmmaking when she would often make short films on social causes and issues. Throughout her college life, she won several awards and numerous recognition for her work towards good social causes through the power of media and journalism and filmmaking.

After graduating from Delhi University, Jigyasa got into the prestigious CalArts (California Institute of Arts) where she studied drama.

In 2005, Jigyasa made her Bollywood debut when she worked as the assistant director on the critically acclaimed, Being Cyrus. Apart from mainstream work, Jigyasa has worked on some of the most critically acclaimed art-house and indie movies, JAM Productions and Writers Bridge as the director, writer and producer.

In 2019, She wrote and directed a short film called Pari and Pinocchio. A movie that deals with the taboo subject of homosexuality in India. The movie went on to win several awards and was recognized internationally. Like this, she has produced, written and directed many short and independent films. She is also an active faculty at LSR, DU where she teaches students about filmmaking, bringing her own international experience into the classes.
