Priya Naresh

Priya Naresh is a famous Indian filmmaker, writer, director, and video editor. She worked for a movie production house in Delhi, associated with the organizations like UNICEF and the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sanghatan. Priya is known for a superhit short movie Barsaati - Our Share of the Sky in 2017. The film received several nominations and won many prizes globally. Barsaati has screened at several film festivals and the International Young Filmmaker Award at the Up and Coming International Short Film Festival in Germany in 2017. It has also got screened atTISS Cut. in Student Festival, Mumbai, 2017, 17th Festival International Du Film Et D'Education, Morocco, 2018, 12th Signs Film Festival, Kerala, 2018, etc.

Another popular short film by Priya Naresh is Imaginary Homes in 2020. The short film won the Best Film at Shades International Short Film Festival Award in 2022. In 2021, it won Special Jury Mention at Kalapnirjhar Film Festival, Kolkata, Special Jury Mention at Colombo International Women's Film Festival, Sri Lanka, and Ritwik Ghatak Silver Award for the best short fiction at South Asian Short Film Festival. Priya Naresh completed her master's in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics.
