Rishil Joshi is a very talented young director who works in the Gujarati film industry. He is one of the new directors on the rise in the ever increasing Gujarati cinema. Rishil Joshi was interested in filmmaking since his college days and he is inspired by legendary filmmaker Priyadarshan. In 2018 he made his directorial debut with the superhit Fera Feri Hera Feri, starring comedy superstars Manjo Joshi and Sanjeev Jogtiyani. This is a hilarious comedy drama about a Mr. Hansmukhlaal, who has two wives unbeknownst to each other. He fakes his own death to live with his other wife, and then the comedy starts when his step children accidentally comes into contact with each other.The movie was well received by the audiences and critics alike.
His next movie was a short film called Natasha: A cerebral game, one of the only Gujarati sci-fi movies. In 2020 he released his next feature film called Affra Taffri. The story about a head of a village who is on his death bed who has a last wish that his granddaughter should get married before he passes away. He has a few more lined up to release where we can see him act and direct.
