Swapna Patker

Swapna Patker is an Indian film director, popular amongst the regional audience for her work in movies like Balkadu (2015), etc. Mostly known for her supreme involvement in Hindi short films, documentaries, and Bollywood films as a director, producer, and writer, she has often been admired by the local critics and spectators for her time management skills, as she also works professionally as a clinical psychologist and hotelier. Born and brought up in Maharashtra, Swapna completed her graduation from Harvard Business School, Indira Gandhi National Open University, University of Mumbai.

The year 2015 was a critical one for her as she made her first portentous contribution on the silver screen with the film Balkadu, a biopic of the nationalist leader Balasaheb Thackrey, who is also, the founder of Maharashtra based political party, Shiv Sena. Apart from her involvement in the film industry, Swapna is a full-time clinical psychologist, corporate trainer, counselor, and wellness consultant. She is the one who founded the Mindworks Training System, which deals with online counseling and psychological testing. As a writer, Swapna is the author Jivanfunda, a Marathi language self-help book. She was also involved in writing columns for some renowned prospects like Athavdyacha Manus and Corporate Mantra.
