Mayank Parakh is a self-employed stand-up comedian and theatre actor. He has gained popularity for his role as a strict warden, Bala, in Biswa Kalyan Rath’s series, Laakhon Mein Ek, and also in a Telugu film, Goodachari. He worked for L&T Constructions, but he quit his job to take up stand-up comedy and acting fulltime. Mayank has also acted in various plays and is most known for his role in Last Wish Baby. He is very much skilled in playing an instrument like a mouth organ, producing music with it.
He was born on 19th March 1989 in Chattisgarh, has lived in Goa for two years for his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, where he graduated from the college NICMAR and then moved to Hyderabad to further pursue acting and stand-up comedy. He has a brother, Sourabh Baid, who lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His latest event is a solo stand-up, named, Chal Gyan Mat De (2019). His previous stand-up event was called Kha Gaye Na Dhoka, which he performed in various cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, etc. Mayank also performed at the Canvas Laugh Club. His witty humor and jokes are all relatable ranging from parenting, twins to movies, and their stereotypes. Mayank now resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
