His musical journey started at the mere age of 8. His father, Louis Banks, is a member of a band called SANGAM. At the age of 9, Gino started touring China and Australia along with his father. He used to play percussion for the band. Gino has performed with several renowned Indian and International artists and groups. He is a versatile musician and plays several genres. He is also a composer and producer. He now runs a studio called Double Shift Productions which records drums. Saxophonist Mark Hartsuch and bassists Mohini Dey and, Gino Banks have started a band called MaMoGi. MaMoGi serves its audience with progressive rock, electronic and, jazz music.

They wrapped up their latest tour in 2022, leaving its audience wanting more. Gino, and other great Indian classical musicians, played a few tracks on the Miles From India produced by Bob Belden, which is nominated for a 2009 Grammy in the category- Contemporary Jazz. Gino believes in propagating his musical knowledge. Along with his wife Eden, he runs an online interactive music workshop called Agorhythm Drums. This musical educator is also the head faculty at an online music school called Artium Academy. He also teaches at Furtado’s School of Music and NMIMS School of Performing Arts in Mumbai. Maestro Gino Banks is an expert at holding drum workshops, and students are eager to attend his masterclass.
