Singer Vinitha

Vinitha is an Indian singer. She has done many songs in the South Indian languages. She has learned Hindustani and Karnatic music. She also sings songs for serials in television. Her son Aswath sung a song in a Malayalam film currently.

She studied at Chittoor Government College, and in the college music was an optional subject for her. She performed Singer Chitra’s Palappoove song from Njan Gandharvan, and because of this, her college friends nicknamed her as Palappoovu.

She did a duet song with S. P. Balasubramaniam, the famous singer. She performed in many live shows. She is prominent for her live music shows. Music director Debjyoti Mishra was amazed because of the Hindi pronunciation of Vinitha.

Thus, she got her first chance in the Malayalam film industry. Vinitha told that by doing many stage performances she improved her Hindi pronunciation. She was happy for getting the first singing chance with singer Chitra, the favorite singer of her.

Then, she sang in Tamil movies like Sadhu Miranda. Ilayaraja said that if he has the suitable song for her, he will give her a chance. She also sang on the album such as Pranayanilaavu. She did live devotion concert in Malappuram Vasudevapuram temple.

She did more than thousand live shows in India and foreign countries. She started music school named Vinitha’s music school in Saligramam, Chennai. In this school, she teaches Hindustani, Carnatic and instrumental music. This school also teaches students through the webcam.
