Akash Mangavkar

Akash Mangavkar is one of the most acknowledged production managers and visual effects producers in the entertainment industry.

Mangavkar was born in Sangil, Maharashtra. He did his schooling at the City High School and graduated from the University of Mumbai.

He started his career as a production manager at Prime Focus Group and Double Negative, and from then on, he has worked on several projects and has over 13 years of experience in the field. Mangavkar began his career as a production coordinator in 2010.

Some of his popular works as a production manager are The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010), Wrath of the Titans (2012), Men in Black 3 (2012), and World War Z Click to look into! >> Read More... (2013).

Mangavkar started his career as a visual effects producer in 2014. Some of his work as a visual effects producer includes Edge of Tomorrow (2014), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), and Noah (2014).

In 2018, he joined DNEG as a senior manager and has worked on films such as Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022), No Time to Die (2021), and Dune (2021).

He is a member of the Visual Effects Society's Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is actively working to create a more inclusive environment for all.

He is much celebrated for his ability to deliver amazing results within a given budget. He has worked on a wide range of projects, from small independent films to major Hollywood blockbusters, and is an asset to the industry.
