O PÂ Kohli is a famous actor and assistant director. He was born on 9 August 1935, in Delhi. He received his education from Ramjas School and Khalsa School, New Delhi. He obtained a Master of Arts in Hindi from the University of Delhi. He was a lecturer at Hansraj College and Deshbandhu College for 37 years. He started his film career in 1974. He worked in many films, some of which are as follows Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai (1982), Ek Hi Raasta (1977), Be-Imaan (1972), Anubhav (1971), Purab Aur Pachhim (1970), Saat Hindustani (1969), and Garm Hava (1974). After films, he came into politics. He was the Governor of Gujarat from 2014 to 2019. He worked as the President of the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party from 1999 to 2000. He also worked in Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2000. He died on 20 February 2023 due to some illness.
