Chetna Bhardwaj

Chetna Bhardwaj is an Indian singer. She was born on 15 October in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. She did her schooling from DLF School, Ghaziabad, and her graduation in Music Honours from Miranda House, Delhi University. She was one of the Top 11 contestants of Indian Idol 11. Her father, Mr. Shaktikanth Bhardwaj, is a builder, and her mother, named Pramila Bhardwaj, is a homemaker.

Chetna Bhardwaj has a younger brother, Devank Bhardwaj, too. She is from the Hindu Brahmin caste. Her father was against her singing and wanted her to focus on her studies. But when she got shortlisted for Indian Idol 11, his perspective for her changed, and he accepted her singing talent. Her paternal uncle, Mr. Ravikanth, always supported her for her singing, and she is very close to him.

He used to take her to every audition for singing reality shows and always stood for her. She started learning classical music at the age of 6. During her school days, she had won many prizes in singing competitions. She got trained from her gurus Aruna Sarkar, Pt. Bhola Nath Mishra of Banaras Gharana, and Amrita Dutta Mazumdar. In 2016, she used to perform at the stage shows with the music bands like Ruhaan, the Band in New Delhi. She also got honored by Sheila Dikshit, Former Chief Minister of Delhi, when she was in class 12, for winning a national level singing competition.

She actively participated in all the functions during her schooling. Before Indian Idol, she tried to give auditions for various singing reality shows but failed to clear any of them. She worked hard and succeeded in making her place in Indian Idol 11. Other than singing, she loves dancing, traveling, cooking, and reading books.
