Nisha Nair, popularly known as Soimoi Kerketa from the blockbuster 2007 movie Chak De! India is an Indian film actress predominantly starred in Hindi and Malayalam movies. She is a National Level Hockey Player and a State level Football Player. Nisha Nair did her schooling in Duruelo Convent High School and completed her B.Com in Mumbai. Nisha made her acting debut in 2007 with the Hindi movie Chak De! India by Yash Raj Films alongside Shahrukh Khan. Her portrayal as the Jharkhand girl won a lot of appreciation.

For essaying the role of Soimoi Kerketa, Nisha won her first Screen Awards in 2008 as the Best Supporting Actress along with her team of Chak De girls. Following the success of Chak De! Nisha made her debut in the Malayalam film industry in 2011 with the movie Aakasha Yatra directed by Sasikumar. Besides, hockey and football, Nisha has a great interest in table tennis and Yoga. Adding to her accomplishments, she is an AYUSH level 1 yoga instructor and a Physical Education Teacher in an international school in Mumbai.
