Antonio Aakeel is a British actor, director, writer, and producer who predominantly works in the English entertainment industry. He was born in 1997 in Wolverhampton, England, to Indian parents. His parents' choice of non-traditional Desi names was a testament to their love for all things Italian. Antonio Aakeel is ethnically Indian, as his grandparents moved to Britain from Punjab in the late sixties. He can speak Punjabi and a little bit of Hindi as a result of watching Bollywood films with his grandmother. Although Antonio Aakeel was born in the West Midlands, he moved around a lot as a child, which gave him more exposure. Antonio Aakeel's passion for acting began during his school days when he received a one-line role in a nativity play. Despite being interested in acting, Antonio Aakeel didn’t think about pursuing professional training due to the high cost of drama school fees.

Antonio Aakeel completed his schooling at Holyhead Primary School. After that, he pursued his bachelor’s degree in law. However, his true calling remained in the world of the performing arts. Subsequently, he enrolled in London's Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in order to practice the art of theater. This decision led him to act in many theatrical productions, including the acclaimed ‘Guantanamo Boy,’ and played the role of Artie in ‘Waiting for Garbo’ at the Crescent Theatre as part of the Birmingham Theatre Festival. He even joined the theater company- Round Midnight, which performed across the Midlands. Antonio Aakeel eventually made his debut on the small screen in 2009 when he got a small role in the TV series ‘Skins.’
