Prajakti Deshmukh is an Indian TV serial actress. She first starred in a comic role in 1993 hit serial

that was telecasted on DD Metro Channel. After that, all the roles she did were only serious characters. It was not her will to make a changeover. She was always waiting for a chance to do the same old comic role.
In 1995, she got into playing in Sailaab, that was aired on Zee TV. The theme song of the serial was a hit number. In 1997, she got another serious role in Thoda hai Thode ki Zaroorat Hai, which was telecasted on Sony TV till 1999. The serial also won the Best Television Serial Drama award at the Screen Awards in 1997. She also appeared in Shekhar Suman's comedy show Movers & Shakers. She was also seen in Zee TV serial Rishtey; that contains several short stories. Prajakti appeared in one of the short story Puppy Love.
