Mahendra Jakhar

A famous Indian writer, Mahendra Jakhar, is known for writing books, novels, and screenplays for Hindi films. He is a well-known TedX Speaker and author who completed his education at MNSS with a Bachelor of Arts. After graduation, he worked as a senior journalist at Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd, a Times Group in New Delhi, from 2000 to 2007. Later, he started working as an independent author, filmmaker, and screenplay writer for TV shows, feature films, and documentaries. Based in Mumbai, Mahendra Jakhar wrote several books and novels, debuting with The Butcher of Benares under Westland Publications.

His first novel became very popular and got several recognizations, including Best Crime Fiction Debut Novel of the Year by Mint and Amazon Rising Star. Westland Publications published his second novel, The Swastika Killer, which has also gained good reviews. The protagonist from his first novel, Butcher of Benares, was re-portrayed in another fiction, Chakra Warriors, by Tara Press.
