Saresh D’Seven, born Danesh Kumar, is a Malaysian Tamil singer-rapper turned actor based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He famously goes by his stage name, D7. He was born on 16th January 1987. His first performance and experience on stage was in 1998, when he sang Pachai Killingal, a popular song from the film Indian, for a primary school talent contest where he sang in front of almost 350 people and, out of 54 participants, won second place.
He is an active member of the Malaysia-based music group S.L.Y. Squad, signed under the label Maven Merakii Entertainment. He had his breakthrough in the industry in 2008, and in 2009, he achieved his first commercial hit with the song Enthe Pennilum v.2009. His popular releases include Vetri Vizha (2022), Kann Raasi Boy (2016), Mayakkum Pennaley (2016), Nee Yen Thozha (2016), etc.
The first time Saresh acted was when he was ten, in the fourth standard, after his class teacher put him in the school stage drama. He made his acting debut in 2017 in a supporting role in Aasaan. He was cast as the lead in Sughamaai Subbulakshmi (2018), followed by Thirudathey Papa Thirudathey (2018), and also starred in Azhaggiye Thee (2019).
