Shilpa Chowdary was born on December 17, 1974, in Andhra Pradesh. She is also known as Tella Shilpa and is now a Tollywood producer, based in Hyderabad, Telangana, whose works have been released in Telugu language. She is married to Tella Krishna Shrinivas Prasad and has one son with him.
