Shanmukha Priya is an Indian singer known for her ability to sing various types of music. She was born on November 2, 2002, in Visakhapatnam, India. Shanmukha Priya grew up in a musical family, as her mother is a music teacher and her father plays musical instruments. Her musical journey began in childhood. When she was just three years old, her father heard her humming to the sound of an alarm; after that, he started teaching her veena, especially in the Carnatic style.
In 2008, she appeared on a TV show called 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs' and gained fame with the name 'PaduthaTheeyaga.' The famous legend SP Balasubrahmanyam noticed her talent. She gained more fame after participating in 'Indian Idol 12' and various other singing reality shows. Her unique jazz-style singing even impressed the famous musician AR Rahman, who called her the next 'Jazz Star of India.'
