Ramana Dumpala is an actor, director, and writer. Ramana Dumpala has worked in the regional Telugu film industry in India as a writer for 2 feature films. After that, he studied at the Film and Television Institute of India and learned Editing and Direction. He directed and edited a lot of short films and documentaries in his institute, as a student. The Documentary which he directed named, "GLOW WORM IN A JUNGLE" was nominated and won at various National and International film festivals, including the 66th National Film Award of India.
He worked on 2 fiction feature-length films, out of which one he presented at the ‘Jump In’ Section for project and script development at the 42nd edition of Poitiers Film Festival-France. Also, he is the first Telugu filmmaker to win a National Award in the Non-Fiction category for his movie "Glow Worm in a Jungle". Ramana Dumpala is known for Reporter's Column (2011), Sandhyavela (2019), and Glow Worm in a Jungle (2018).
