1. Gharaonda

The 1971 drama, Gharaonda, is a movie about a couple, Sudip and Chaya, who buy a house for themselves with their hard-earned money. After paying the real estate developer, they realize that he is a fraud, and they lose their money. The dream of buying a house is close to everyone, especially newlywed couples. This movie teaches us a lesson of never trusting a real estate company without cross-checking and verifying its legitimacy. This lesson works when a massive sum of money is involved.

2. Teen Bahuraniyan

This 1969 movie has correctly summed up the popular Hindi saying, Aamdani atthanni, kharcha rupaiya. ‘Teen Bahuraniyan’ revolves around a school teacher, Dinnnanath, who has a moderate income and due to which he manages the finances of the house very meticulously. Things go out of hand when his family members start to spend more on expensive items to impress their new and popular neighbor, a movie star. But Dinnanath doesn’t tolerate this overspending and successfully teaches the household a lesson. From this movie, the viewers can learn that one should only how much he can afford.

3. Avtaar

In the movie Avtaar, the protagonist Avtaar Kishen is forced to take retirement as he meets with an accident. After his retirement, he becomes dependent on his three sons, but they are of no good and don’t take of him. He is in utter disbelief and shock that after doing so much for his kids, this is what he is getting in return for all that love he showered on them. Avtaar and his wife Radha are left helpless and turn to a good friend. This movie can be an eye-opener for all middle-aged people, who are close to their retirement.

4. Judaai

This movie is about a married woman, Kajal who is really into money and fame, for which she is ready to do anything. Jahnavi falls in love with Kajal’s husband, Raj, and wants to marry him. So, to fulfill her dreams of being wealthy, Kajal allows this marriage in exchange for two crore rupees. Raj is stunned with Kajal’s obsession over money but decides to play along. Ultimately, Kajal realizes her mistake and apologizes to everyone, who was hurt. This movie shows us the importance of family over money.

5. Khosla ka Ghosla

This 2006 comical yet moral movie revolves around Kamal Kishore Khosla who was tricked into transferring the ownership of his land to a cunning builder, Khurana. But Khosla’s two sons try to get back their land with the help of theatrical actors by selling a government-owned land to Khurana. When Khurana receives the taste of his own medicine, he realizes his mistake and returns the land to Khosla. The movie’s moral is that valuable assets like land should be kept safe from fraud.
