10th April is recognized as Sindhi Language Day [ Sindhi language was recognised by the Indian Constitution's eighth schedule on 10 April 1967. The history or journey of the production of Sindhi films started with Homi Wadia Directed the Sindhi Film Ekta way back in 1940. In the pre-independence era, Lahore was the city famous for Sindhi Film Production. A Lollywood alternative name for the Pakistan film industry is derived from Lahore. After the partition of the country, Sindhi film-producing centre was shifted to Mumbai and nowadays Ahmedabad is appearing to emerge as Sindhi film-producing city. Mystery girl, fashion icon and one of the popular heroines of Bollywood Sadhna started her film career with the Sindhi film Abana which was the first ever blockbuster Sindhi film. We can say that the span of twenty-five years from 1950 to 1975 was the golden era for Sindhi films as during this period almost every year a hit Sindhi film is produced. The movie is slotted under the storyline of a rich girl - a poor boy. As was the case with so many other movies of those times in Bollywood the storyline of this Sindhi movie is also on the same line. The hero belongs to the family of a well-respected teacher while the girl belongs to the family of a well-to-do law professional. The fathers of the hero-heroine are both friends in a manner and hence the boy-girl gets a chance to be good friends from a younger age and hence have been in love for years together. The barrister is not keen on getting his girl married to the professor's son. In comes the businessman, who happens to be the son of the barrister's friend of olden days who used to live nearby at an older locality. Radha and Shyam the main characters churn about a fair storyline. The businessman, Naresh fits himself as Radha's choice in the eyes of Shyam and hence creates the misunderstanding between Radha and Shyam while on the other hand slowly gets himself as the choice of Radha's barrister father.
