, the one-half of ‘The Two Ronnies’, died on Thursday morning as confirmed by his publicist after having been ill for several months.
The veteran, along with his brother, hosted one of the most popular comedy shows of the 20th century on BBC. He has left behind his wife and two daughters. Corbett and his wife Annie Hart had celebrated their golden Jubilee anniversary last year.
The actor, known for his significant contribution to the entertainment industry as well as his charity services, was awarded a CBE in the 2012 New Year Honours.
Unfortunately, he collapsed during a celebration held for the same and was rushed to the hospital as revealed by his wife. David Cameron and many other actors have expressed their heartfelt condolences over the loss of this much-loved comedian.
