India has a lot of local and international airports. But, it doesn’t have any special ports for the helicopters. From this February 2017, we will be witnessing the heliports in India. Yes, the first heliport in India will be launched on 28th February 2017. The Nation’s first heliport is designed by Pawan Hans Limited, a helicopter servicing company, which is based in New Delhi. In this heliport, we will have space for 16 helicopters with closed helipads and nine helipads in the open air. To design this heliport, the government has spent Rs. 100 Crores. The heliport will be inaugurated by Ashok Gajapthi Raju, the Honorable Union Civil Aviation Minister.
