Udta Punjab, which released today, amidst huge controversies, satisfies the audiences with a beautiful message. With the four parallel tracks of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the director has managed to bring everything he wanted to express in a single frame. Shahid had played excellently well as Tommy Singh, the drug addicted Punjabi Rockstar. Is it Alia? We could not guess it! Such a beautiful makeover! Most of the time, the dialogues sound in Punjabi. Yet, we are blessed with the subtitles that help us to understand the right thing. Both Alia and Shahid had lived as the victims of the drug and physical abuse. Their performances are sure to make the audience shed a drop or two. Amidst the piracy controversy, the film is running with power packed houses and we hope the actors are sure to win awards.
