YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CM of Andhra Pradesh, has imported the rapid COVID19 test kits from South Korea. It is stated that the test kits will provide the results in just ten minutes. The government had arranged a special charter flight to get the test kits from South Korea. One lakh kits are purchased and the community testing will be done as quickly as possible.
Dr K S Jawahar Reddy, the Principal Health Secretary of the state, stated that the test kits would be sent to all the districts. Already Andhra Pradesh has been testing for COVID quickly. The kits will be sent within five days and the people who are in treatment will also be tested once again with the kits to know if they are recovered. The COVID positive cases in the state have increased by 38 on Friday and the total is 572.
