Intro: How Do You Know is the story of a softball player being forced into early retirement and someone who is unsure of the next step and also between two guys.

Plot: Lisa Jurgenson ( Reese Witherspoon She’s one of the most dazzling and utmost paid act >> Read More... ) is a softball player at 31 and is being forced into early retirement. She is frustrated and annoyed and starts making all the wrong decisions of her life. She starts going out with Matty Reynolds ( Owen Wilson Owen Wilson was born in Dallas, Texas on November >> Read More... ) and later moves in with her. George Madison ( Paul Rudd The handsome and charming, Paul Rudd born on 6th A >> Read More... ) who was supposed to date her calls her to say that he is happy with his present girlfriend. But George gets convicted of malfeasance at his company, for which his father Charles Madison ( Jack Nicholson One of the most prominent and living legend in Hol >> Read More... ) is responsible. His girlfriend breaks up with her after this. Impulsively he invites Lisa for dinner, and she accepts. George whines about his whole life time making it a disaster. Lisa soon moves in with Matty, who is a narcissist and has problems of shallowness and sex addiction. He continues seeing other women while he is with Lisa. George finally finds out from his Dad that he created that nuisance and that if convicted he would be in prison for 25 years while George will get out in 3. Lisa is fed up with Matty’s fake promises and goes out and has a wonderful evening with George. They have an intoxicating evening together, and Lisa starts thinking with her decisions. George falls head over heels for Lisa. George makes a deal with his father that if he can convince Lisa to be with her, he will have to take the blame upon himself. Charles accepts it. George proposes Lisa at a party at Matty’s house, and they leave on a bus together.

Review: The movie is as confusing as the characters in it. This coming from the director of Broadcast News gives a dark future for Rom-Coms ahead. The story is sloppy and moves in haphazard directions. The performances put in are nothing extravagant. Paul and Reese come together the third time after Monsters V/S Aliens and Overnight Delivery and their chemistry sparks some lightning. Jack is not given anything to give back working the fourth time with Brooks. The plot is baseless and looks like the characters are just thrown into the scene with no intent. There is nothing much to say about the cinematography or the locations.

Verdict: It shall be a wasteful venture on this anyone but the chemistry and the light moments can get you pass it.
