Luke Wilson was born in Dallas Texas in 1971 and is the younger brother of famous actor Owen Wilson and minor actor Andrew Wilson.  All three brothers attended the same school in Texas where it is reported that Luke was voted class president.  Luke Wilson made his debut in the short film Bottle Rocket as the lead star.  This was written by his brother Owen.  Shortly after this, Luke moved to Hollywood with his two brothers.  In 1998 he starred in a couple of romance films, Best Men and Home Fries both in which he was opposite Drew Barrymore.  He played a doctor in the movie Rushmore which was also written by his brother Owen and family friend a director Wes Anderson.  In 1999, Luke starred in Blue Streak as a detective and in 2001 he was cast opposite Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde.  He also had roles in The Royal Tenenbaums and Old School.  Wilson had a sporadic role as Kelso’s older brother on That 70’s Show.  Luke would go on to star in Vacancy opposite Kate Beckinsale, Tenure, and Henry Poole is Here.  In 2010 alone he appeared in both Death at a Funeral and Middle Men.  Luke was also a star on the HBO series Enlightened.

His mother is Sophie and father is Arthur Caan, both emigrated from Germany and are of Jewish blood. His father was a dealer of meat as well as the butcher. He was brought up in Sunnyside, Queens in New York City. He got the education in New York City and after then attended Michigan State University. Later he took admission in the Hofstra University of Hempstead but did not graduate from there. When he was studying at Hofstra University, he got fascinated by acting.
