Diane Kruger is a famous former fashion model and a German actress. She is well known for characters like Helen, Dr. Abigail Chase, Bridget von Hammersmark, Anna, Gina, Seeker/Lacey in the films named Troy, National Treasure, Inglourious Basterds, Mr. Nobody, Unknown, The Host from 2004 to 2013. Diane Kruger was born in Algermissen, a village in the district of Hildesheim, Germany. When she was born, she was named Diane Heidkruger. She is the daughter of Hans-Heinrich Heidruger, a computer specialist and a bank employee named Maria-Theresa. She went to Catholic school as she grew as a Roman Catholic. She grew in Germany with Stefan, her younger brother. She went to many student exchange programs in her teens, as her mother asked her to go to learn and improve her English language. Kruger dreamed of becoming a ballerina in her childhood. She gave her audition for the same in the Royal Ballet School, which is in London. But, she could not continue her ballet career due to an injury. She went to Paris to divert her mind and energy towards learning French language and pursuing modeling.

She was named January Jones after the name of January Wayne, which is a role in a novel named "Once Is Not Enough" by Jacqueline Susann in the year 1973.Her family got shifted to Hecla in South Dakota during 1979. Jones' father said that she tried sneaking out of her house many times. After completing her graduation from high school, she tried her luck in the New York City. There, she started her journey as a model. She also appeared in some commercial advertisements for companies like Clearasil, Abercrombie, and Fitch.
