Sonal Kaushal voices Neena, an 8-year-old girl who has been a victim of child labor but somehow managed to escape and is now a fugitive. Manoj Pandey voices Don, the head of the poachers, who resembles ‘Gabbar’. Rupa Bhimani has lent her voice as Thathi, a mentor of the elephant head.

Plot

The story opens in a dense jungle, where Appu, a baby elephant lives with his family and friends. Suddenly one day a group of poachers bombards the jungle and abducts Appu’s father. When Appu got to know about the abduction of his father by the poachers, he geared himself up to rescue his father. On his journey, he meets Tiger, a dog with an implausible nose that helps Appu fulfill his mission, and Neena, who plays an important role in the squad as she knows her ways about the jungle and the poachers' hideaways. Appu somehow learns that they have taken his father to the mountains and they plan to proceed toward the mountains. Will Appu and his team succeed in their mission? Will they be able to drive the poachers out of the jungle? The rest of the story revolves around their efforts to achieve these goals.

Star performance

Jasleen Singh who played the character Appu, did a significant and incredible performance in the movie. His playful conduct and mischievous stunts fascinate young hearts. When Appu implants on a heroic journey, discovering his inner power and unflagging determination to safeguard his family and species. Sonal Kaushal's portrayal of Neena, a brave and adventurous girl, was also commendable. Prosenjit Ganguly as Tiger, a dog played decent as well. We can say that the crew has done an amazing job in successfully pulling up the story and the message that the movie intends to convey. Moreover, the voice artists breathed life into the characters with their amazing performances.

Analysis

Appu, an 8-year-old elephant, possesses magical powers and unusual strength. He embarks on a critical journey across the ocean and an impenetrable forest to save his father from the grip of poachers. At its essence, Appu embodies heroism and fearlessness, setting an example for every child. The Intelligent dog, Tiger, the adventurous girl Neena, and the brave elephant calf Appu set a prodigious example of brotherly friendship who endured battle against the poachers valiantly. The movie communicates a powerful message about the importance of protecting wildlife, The filmmakers shed special focus on the seriousness of poaching and how elephants are hunted to sell their tusks in the international black market. The movie is capable of instilling protectiveness and tutelage in the hearts of its young audience.

Verdict

The animation, the background music, the characters, the voice-over, everything fits in the movie perfectly. The background music and choice of words in the second half can be a bit boring, despite this overall the movie offers a good pack of entertainment and lessons.
