Plot

The movie starts with the protagonist Chameli who proclaims herself as Jasmine, to stand out. She is a tough girl who has gone through a lot of trauma due to physical and mental abuse by her father. She has bitter relationships with her family. But, toughened by the sorrows of life, she overcomes all the obstacles in her own unique and exciting way. She gets married with Sumer who already has a daughter, who becomes Jasmin's step daughter. She, by an unexpected turn of events, lands up in the world of commercial surrogacy. But surprisingly, she develops a bond with the unborn child in her womb and she refrains from giving away the child to its biological parents. Jasmin decides to run away. The rest of the film is an interesting tale of Jasmin trying all her ways to get the child and being chased by the parents of the child. Will Jasmin get caught? Will she be able to keep the child?

Star Performances

Monika panwar is an absolute bomb in her lead role of Chameli. She has done a fabulous job in portraying the role of a surrogate mother. Sikandar Kher is excellent in his brief role of Chameli’s progressive husband. Although brief, he has given a powerful performance.Both of them have amazing chemistry and bonding on screen. Vrajesh Harjee,Soham Majumdar,Azhar Malik and Monali Thakurvare amazing in supporting roles. The actors blend well and suit their characters.

Analysis

The movie explores the true sides of the commercial surrogacy centers and medical facilities.The movie shows instances of the trouble and exploitation of these surrogate mothers. The idea and plot of the movie is amazing and intriguing.But the movie takes a lot of time to come to the main plot. The film, even though it has an excellent plot, still doesn't fulfill its expectations. The movie feels bland and weak at times.

The movie feels underwhelming at times when the story becomes predictable.
The first half feels overly stretched and slow and misses the main plot.

The movie has an excellent and unique plot and story development.

It can indeed be a one-time watch. It has a new concept and depicts the genuine tale of surrogate mothers and their problems. The movie showcases a beautiful set of emotions of love, anger and courage. It may seem slow at times, but will keep the audience engaged the whole time.
