Rajesh Mapuskar is an Indian writer, director, and film-writer. He was born and raised in Shrivardhan, a village in Maharashtra, to father Anant Mahadev Mapuskar and mother, Sindhu Anant Mahapuskar. He completed his schooling from Shrivardhan Public School till grade 10, and later he went to Kirti College, Dadar to pursue a degree in Bachelor of Commerce. He had a joint family, and they owned a cinema hall in the village.
