Hindi Movie Review Fukrey - Cast & Crew

Mrighdeep Singh Lamba is a film director who shot to prominence with a film 'Fukrey' that released in 2013. The film was a sleeper hit and due to its success in box office, the makers of the film were planning to make a sequel which might go on the floor in 2016. Filming of the sequel is likely to commence in August 2016 in Delhi. But one can not predict if the sequel would go on the floor or not. The film 'Fukrey' was produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and Mrighdeep also did the screenplay for the film along with story writer Vipul Vig. The film was totally a comedy film which picked up well with audiences slowly due to the satirical concept.

Pulkit Samrat is a popular Indian model and actor, born on December 29, 1983 in Delhi, India. He was brought up in a big Hindu joint household in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. His family is into real estate business and he is the eldest. He attended Manav Sthali School in New Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi until his Class X; he was expelled for rupturing firecrackers outside the office of the school’s Vice Principal so he transferred and completed his studies at Montfort Senior Secondary School in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. But since he is not really interested in studying, Pulkit took an advertising course in Apeejay Institute of Design but after five months, he got an offer to do his first ad with Asian Paints. He stopped on studying and moved to Mumbai in 2005; then he took an acting course under Kishore Namit Kapoor. He also finished Bachelor in Multimedia at the Asian School of Media Studies in Noida. 

He was debuted as Lakshya Sahil Virani in the Balaji Telefilms’ longest-running series, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus in 2006. He won the Best Fresh New Face award in the Indian Telly Awards in 2006 and the Favorite Naya Sadsya award at the Star Parivaar in 2007 for his performance in the show. Later, he quits the show because he suffers back pain during the shoots and he went to Dubai for the treatment. He was replaced by Yash Pandit. In 2008, he joined the friend-based reality show, Kaho Na Yaar Hai on STAR Plus.

Later, he has done Vaibhavi Merchant’s musical theatrical show entitled, Taj Express. He was debuted in the film industry through the Hindi comedy film, Bitto Boss in 2012. It happens that the casting director of Taj Express was the same casting in the film so after many auditions, he was luckily selected. In 2013, he was starred in another box-office hit film, Fukrey. Ritesh Sidhwani, the producer of the film’s soundtrack album saw him in a dancing song in Bitto Boss so he auditioned for Fukrey. In 2014, the actor was cast as Sub-Inspector Abhay Rajput in Salman Khan’s starrer film, Jai Ho. In the same year, he was starred as Prantabh Pratab or P.P. in the Hindi comedy film, O Teri under the direction of Umesh Bhishit. He appeared as Robin Singh in the upcoming Hindi romantic comedy film, Dolly Ki Doli which also stars Sonam Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao. He also donned another upcoming Bollywood comedy film, Bangistan which is set to release on April 17, 2015 and right now, he is filming Junooniyat with Yami Gautam. He is also filming the Bollywood drama film, Agra Ka Daabra which is set to release on 2016. Pulkit also signed for the film, Ticket To Bollywood by Vicky Bhari.

He got married to television journalist, Shweta Rohira last November 3, 2014. Shweta is Salman Khan’s rakhi sister so he got the chance to get close with the legendary actor. He met Shweta in 2010 while doing an interview with him and they become good friends that ended up on marriage. Pulkit is also doing magic, card tricks, illusion and levitation besides acting.

Manjot Singh was born to a Sikh family, in Delhi on July 7th, 1992. Manjot is a Bollywood actor, best known for his role in “student of the year” as “DIMPY”. He did his schooling from "Hillwoods Academy" in Delhi. His father is a businessman and mother is a housewife. He started his acting career from 2008 in the movie “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” in which he plays, young Lovinder 'Lucky' Singh. He bagged 'The Best Actor' in "Film Fare". In 2010 he played the role of 'Maninder Singh' in the movie “Udaan”. In 2010 he even participated in Indian reality T.V show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ which is an Indian version of “Fear Factor”. In 2012, Manjot appeared in a Punjabi musical drama titled “Pure Punjabi”. In the same year he played “Dimpy” in “Student of the year” also Starring “Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan” who also made their Bollywood debut which was a huge success. In 2012 Manjot starred in 'Fukrey' which was critically acclaimed and Manjot’s performance was highly admired by the Indian audience.

Ali Fazal is an Indian actor who was born on 15th October 1986 in Mumbai. He is from a Muslim family. He attended The Doon School in Dehra Dun where he developed his passion for theatre. He started his career by working in the TV advertisement and working on the television screen and did advertisements for Pizza Hut, Micromax Mobile, Union Bank of India, Slice, LG and other advertisements. Along with the advertisements, he also did theatre named Prithvi In Mumbai. Rajkumar Hirani, the famous director, when attended one of Fazal’s performance, he decided to offer him a role is his movie which is the biggest hit named “3 Idiots”. Ali’s charming touch to the role adds an air of sympathy to the character of Joy. In this movie, he worked with actors like Amir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Madhavan. Ali made his place in the film industry and was picked up by the Shahrukh khan production house and he was made to cast in “Always Kabhi Kabhi”. Though, it was a major flop movie, Ali’s performance was praised by the audiences. After that movie, he played a lead role in a new movie “Fukrey”, which was a major hit and he played a lead role in that movie. Now he is working in many Bollywood projects and he also worked in a Hollywood movie titled “Furious 7”. Now he is working in many new projects and some of them are “Future 15” and “Ek Tho Chance”.

He has played the character ‘Gagan’ in the movie ‘Rabba Main Kya Karoon’ in 2013. In the same year Varun’s thriller movie ‘Warning’ entertained the viewers. In the year 2014-2015, he acted in three continuous released comedy movies Yaaran Da Catchup, Dolli Ki Doli and Kis Kisko Pyar Karu. He has been nominated for IIFA Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role and won the Star Guild Award for Best Actor in a Comic Role.

Ram Sampath is an Indian music producer and composer. After a brief stint as a composer for an advertising agency in Mumbai, Ram Sampath went on to compose music albums before venturing into the Bollywood industry.
