1. Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan is an award winning Bollywood actress who was born in Poothamkurussy, Puthur of Kerala. Her birthday is 1st of January in 1978. Her parents are Saraswathy and P. R Balan. Her elder sister is Priya Balan and her second cousin is Indian actress Priyamani. She studied at a High School in Mumbai and in 1995, at the age of sixteen, she played the role of Radhika in the first season of Ekta Kapoor's TV series named “Hum Paanch”. In her teenage, she was inspired by Indian actress Shabana Azmi and Madhuri Dixit. She studied Sociology in St. Xavier's College and completed Master's in Mumbai University. She has appeared in several TV commercials and also she has starred in music videos. Vidya has briefly studied Carnatic music, Bharatnatyam and Kathak. She was listed as the "India's hottest vegetarian" in polls conducted by PETA in 2011 and 2012. In 2003, she commenced her career in feature film industry with the Bengali movie “Bhalo Theko”. “Parineeta” (2005) was her foremost Hindi movie. There she played the role of Lalita. Parineeta was a box-office hit and Vidya received the Filmfare best actress award in 2006, for her performances in Parineeta. Later, she appeared in “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” (2006) co starred with Sanjay Dutt. In 2007, she appeared in romantic comedy film “Heyy Babyy”. Heyy Babyy is a remake of Hollywood film “Three Men and a Baby”. Vidya played the role of Isha Sahni and the movie became an overnight hit. She got the opportunity of working with director Aziz Mirza, in 2008. Aziz selected Vidya for the role of Priya, in “Kismat Konnection”. The victorious period of her career as a Hindi actress began in the year 2009. She appeared in five different successive films, including “Paa” (2009), “Ishqiya” (2010), “The Dirty Picture” (2011), Kahaani (2012). Her prominent acting skills in those roles recognized her in Hindi cinema. She has won the National Film Award for best actress (Dirty picture), five Filmfare Awards for Parineeta (2005), Paa (2009), The Dirty Picture (2011), and Kahaani (2012) and Ishqiya (2010), five Screen Awards and Padma Shri Award in 2014. Vidya Balan got married to Siddharth Roy Kapoor, the CEO of UTV Motion Pictures on 14th of December 2012 in Bandra, Mumbai.

Vishal-Bhardwaj.jpg The most outstanding of a successful film producer, director, writer, screenplay writer, music composer and playback singer, is Vishal Bhardwaj, who has successfully crossover in India and abroad by his versatile genius. He is a blissful child of goddess Saraswati. He was born on 4th August, 1965 in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. His father Ram Bhardwaj, a poet and lyricist is a government official. At his young age Vishal came to Delhi for completing his education, and there he nourished his musical passion. Bhardwaj started his career by playing harmonium for less known Ghazal singers in Delhi Pragati Maidan at food fairs. Thereafter he came into the contact of R V Pandit, who offered him a job in his music company. But his destiny was something different. One of Vishal’s friends introduced him to the famous filmmaker Gulzar,and the latter had identified the quality Bherdwaj had. He first gained popularity with his debut direction ‘Makdee’, which was screened at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. Again in the year 2004 his film ‘Maqbool’ and in 2006 his film ‘Omkara’ were nominated in Cannes Film Festival respectively. He came up on TV serials collaborated with Gulzar and they aired ‘The Jungle Book’, ’Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Gubbare’. In 2014 Bhardwaj directed ‘Haider’, which was nominated at the 19th Busan Internation Film Festival. The film evoked applaud from critics and audiences alike. This film was also selected for the Rome Film Festival, where it won the ‘People’s Choice Award and it was the first Indian film to this credit. Bhardwaj came to Mumbai to become a music composer, but he selected to directing film only to get the opportunity to compose music. He was very much influenced by Shakespeare’s dramas, and the result is, he had directed famous movies based on Shakespeare’s drama ‘Othello’, ‘Haider’. Among his famous films are ’Satya’, ’Chachi 420’, ‘Maqbool’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Kaminey’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘7Khoon Maaf’ and many such ever remembering movies. He also scored the title track for Sear Plus, Star Parivar Awards with the channels new anthem. He composed music for almost all the latest movies and for present genre actors. He has sung with renowned singers like Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Suresh Wadkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Kavita Krishnamurti. In May 2014 he tested his hands in the field of design and stage direction for an opera of Paris, France. We are sure that this National Award Winner for direction definitely would achieve success for himself and for the Indians.

5. Naseeruddin Shah

Naseeruddin Shah is an experimental actor and associated with theater. He had treated art-cinema as his serious endeavor requiring the dedication, discipline, and integrity. Throughout his career, he subjected his own acting to a process of rigorous artistic self-analysis and reflection. He was the discovery of filmmaker Shyam Benegal, who introduced actors like Shabana, Om Puri, Smita Patil and others in the Indian cinema. Undoubtedly, this actor has acted in some serious films such as Sparsh, Paar and Iqbal( three national awards). For his performance in Paar, he received the best actor in the Venice Film Festival. His growth even in art-cinema was slow, as he had acted in women-oriented films of Shabana Azmi or Smita Patil. Later, he was chosen to play lead roles in films of Sai Paranjpye’ Sparsh, where he played a blind character. Even in Gautam Ghosh’s Paar, he identified himself as village-man that fetched him an award at national and international level.

6. Arshad Warsi

Arshad Warsi is most popular for his role as Circuit in the super hit Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Born in to a Muslim family; he attended a boarding school and at the age of 14, this led to many struggles in his early life. 


He began working as a salesman at the age of 17 but had shown interest in dancing. His interest changed in to a profession as he joined the Akbar Sami’s Dance group, which started his choreography and dancing career. 


Arshad’s film career began in 1996 when he was offered a role by Amitabh Bachchan’s production house film Tere Mera Sapne.  He was then provided with numerous roles but none of them were too successful. He became a prominent actor after starring opposite Sanjay Dutt in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Filmfare Awards. Warsi poured his heart out in the role and it paid off as it lead to the many film offers for him. He was signed in supporting roles for Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and of course the sequel to Munna Bhai, Lage Raho Munna Bhai. 


Along with his successful career, Warsi became a family man when he married Maria Goretti in 1999. The two have two children, a son and a daughter.
