Kanika played as Sweety’s (played by Richa Pallod) mother in the Bollywood film, Neal ‘n’n Nikki which was produced by Yash Chopra. She was starred in the 2007 film, Eik Dasttak by Shekhar S. Jha. In 2009, She acted in another motherly role in Bollywood Hero in year 2009. In the same year, the actress played the role of Ma in the short film, The Homemaker. She bagged the role of Rita Massi in Alankrita Shrivastava’s Bollywood film, ‘Turning 30!!!’ in 2011. In the same year, she was also seen in the Hindi romance film, Always Kabhi Kabhi. She played as a teacher in the children’s film, Chillar Party and as Badi Rani in the Bollywood romantic drama film, ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’. She also worked in the action thriller film, D-Day in 2013. In this film songs were not so special to be noted at all. However, she shot to fame and popularity with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film ‘’Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela’’, that released in 2013. In this film, she got a chance to render an item song on Priyanka Chopra and it reflected positively on her career. The choreography of the dance was unison of Gujarati folk and western music. The vocal of the song is given by Indian Idol fame Bhumika Trivedi, who had to strike a perfect chord with its fast paced beats and other musical arrangements.

...22. Priyanshu Chatterjee
Priyanshu Chatterjee has had a successful stint as a model and later he ventured into films. The 2001 flick Tum Bin catapulted him to fame but he didn’t sustain, mainly due to his own limitations. Some of his other ventures include Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai, Pinjar, Dil Ka Rishta, Julie, Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai, Bhoothnath, Chintu Ji, Iti Mrinalini, Shunyo Awnko, Paanch Adhyay etc.
Currently though Priyanshu is not seen in big screen, he is still remembered for his good looks, attractive personality and a great voice. However, somehow his films didn’t do wonders (except Tum Bin which was a sleeper hit) in Bollywood. Born on February 20, 1973 Priyanshu was wedded to TV anchor Malini Sharma (she also acted in the movie Raaz) but they parted ways in 2001.
After completing graduation, Priyanshu was into modeling before entering film industry. He was pursuing an internship in CA and eventually got into modeling. Some of his modeling ventures include Levi’s, Wills Cigarettes, Four Square and Digjam Print Campaign. He also worked in a music video of ace singer Udit Narayan. The good looks of Priyanshu showed him the path to Bollywood too. Priyanshu imbibed acting skills from Kishore Namit Kapoor School of Acting before venturing into Bollywood.
The 2001 flick Tum Bin is the debut venture of Priyanshu in Bollywood. Since it was quite a hit (the music was a great hit) the director of the flick, Anubhav Sinha joined hands with Priyanshu once again in the flick Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai but this film bombed at the box office. This duo later didn’t work together again. Pinjar is a film in Priyanshu’s career, which gained him the much-needed recognition after facing some flops.
Priyanshu was very selective with his films since he didn’t want to be typecast with the hero image. He also has his own limitations and hence is not seen in Bollywood films of late. Priyanshu has also worked in some Bengali films.
