Bharath is a Kannada Movie Director popularly known for his work in movies like Kanti and Mareyuva Munna. His first movie Kanti was released in 2004. It had Ramya, Murali Namdev Govind, and Mumtaz in the main roles. It was produced by Srinivas. The film got two Karnataka State Film Awards including Best Actor and Best Editing Awards. The movie ran in the theaters for nine weeks and was critically a success. Though it bombed in the box office, it got appreciation for its fresh approach in narration. The story was about two people who were in love but it was opposed by the girl’s brother. A Marathi girl falling in love with a Kannada boy is the essence of the film. Mumtaz has done an Item number to spice up the movie screen. Namdev Govind played the villain in the story.
