Shreya Ghoshal, one of the most famous singers in Bollywood today, was born on March 12th, 1984, in Berhampore, West Bengal. Her father Biswajit Ghoshal is an electrical engineer and mother Sharmistha Ghoshal is a postgraduate in literature. She started singing since the age of 4 when her mother taught her. She started her formal training in Hindustani classical Gharana of music when she was only six years old. She was trained for 18 months after which she continued her training in Mumbai with Late Mukta Bhideji. She completed her graduation in Arts with majors in English. Her first on-stage performance was at their club’s annual function. Her first studio album was in Bengali in 19998 and was named Bendhechhi Beena, and her first onscreen performance was in Awaz Nayi Andaaz Wohi. In 1995, she became the winner of All India Light Vocal Music Competition. Her fame and career began with her winning a television singing reality show named Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Model-turned- actor Kriti Kharbanda is a popular actress in Sandalwood and Tollywood, who was born in New Delhi and brought up in Bangalore. She took active part in dramas and other cultural activities when she was in college, which gave her space in acting and even modeling. Even in her college days, she did take up assignments in advertisements. Her much popular advertisement in Fair & lovely caught the attention of an NRI director. Director Raj Pippala was in Chennai in search of a new face for his film “Boni”( Telugu film in 2009) and happened to see her face on the billboard. He contacted her through a mediator in Bengaluru and she had to go to an audition for the film. As many as 150 new faces had to contest for the heroine role, but luckily she was selected. The film “Boni” did not do well at the box office, despite the fact that it had a star like Sumanth. After completing the Telugu flick Boni, she did a Kannada film ‘Chiru’, which was a moderate hit. Along with Chiru, she appeared in Teen Maar with Pawan Kalyan (2012) which was also an average grosser. During this period, she did not make any difference with Telugu and Kannada film offers. In 2012, she had two Telugu and two Kannada films. Her release of romantic comedy ‘’Googly’’ was the highest grosser in 2013 which made her a busy actress in Sandalwood. Modeling still interests her a lot. She also hopes to become a jewelry designer in future when she stops acting in films. 

Having won many hearts in Sandalwood, this beautiful actress looks very promising now. She is raising the bar with a line up films in Kannada (“Naa Mechida Huduga”, “ Belli”, “Sanju Weds Geetha 2” and “Dalapathy”), which will speak a lot of her acting capabilities. She wants to make her own mark in the industry by doing better movies. Her film Bruce Lee (Telugu) with Ram Charan is also eagerly awaited. Whether it is Sandalwood or Tollywood, this actress had got all the right opportunities and she seems to be utilizing them well. She has the luck and even acting skills which have made her a unique star now.

B. Jayashree is a Kannada actress, singer, and a director. She was born on June 9, 1950, in Bengaluru, India. Her father was Basavaraj, who was also an actor. Her mother was Malathamma. Her grandfather, Gubbi Veeranna was also an actor and a director. Her grandfather started the Gubbi Veeranna Nataka Company.

Suhasini Maniratnam was born on 15th August 1961 in famous city Chennai. Her original name was Suhasini Charuhaasan. She was born in prominent Hasaan family. She was cousin to the most prominent Indian film hero Kamal Haasan. She was a cinematography student from Madras Film Institute. She started her career as a camera assistant and later became an actress.  She was married to greatest Indian film director Maniratnam in 1988.

Anil Kumar was widely recognized in the India Film Industry because of his extraordinary talent. He was a famous Kannada actor best known for his portrayal of villains in Indian cinema. He is mainly recognized for the popular film named ‘Pallata,’ which earned him tremendous fame around the country.

Nagashekar is an Indian actor and director from the South. He is known for his acting and direction in Kannada language movies. Nagashekar hails from one of the weakest sections of the society. Till now he is the only person from his village to obtain an engineering degree. Nagesh comes from a family background of specialised folk singing. Thus, right from his childhood, he was exposed to folk songs and drama. From his childhood, he actively took part in theatre and acting. He continued this even during his college days. After completion of his engineering degree instead of being worried about finding a job, he came down to Bengaluru to pursue his interest in acting and Theatre. In Bengaluru, he started working for famous theatre personality, Mrs. Arundathi Nag, who is the wife of famous actor & director Mr. Shankar Nag.

Vijay aka Duniya Vijay is an actor of Kannada cinema. This actor has acted in many films, and he was practically unrecognizable from the gritty characters that he played which were so meaningless. Later on, he landed up receiving some significant character and came to be recognized. His first film in which he appeared and got noticed was a film ‘Duniya’ in 2007. He had a struggling life in Sandalwood and stated to accept small roles till he was offered to play a good character by director Soori in 2007. Later, this talented actor had made his own niche of fans with his different movies and acting. However, he is a well-known face now who can play a lead hero in his films. Today, he is a well-known face in households for his role in ‘Johny Mera Naam Preethi Mera Kaam’ and ‘Jayammana Maga’. 

The year 2009 was a successful year for this actor while the year 2010 brought him mixed results in the box office. His fans like him because he was a struggling actor, who has evolved as an actor in his own terms. His fans always want to see him as Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee, as this actor is also known as Black Cobra among his fans. This actor is also a man of golden heart who takes part in philanthropic activities. As this actor does not have a photogenic face he was not cast as a hero. Therefore, he never considered him as a hero material. But he valued his hard work, and he portrayed his characters very differently with creativity films after the film. He is also known for doing his own stunt scenes or any jump sequences. He was married to Nagarathna but opted for divorce but finally had patched up thinking about his children status. This actor was born and brought up in a village and belonged to a very poor family. His father and grandfather used to act in plays. 

His first role in the film that he got only was after meeting Yograj Bhatt and Soori for film Ranga SSLC. He always wanted to become a hero, but senior artistes always advised to become first become an actor. He also did some stunt scenes in films. He used to part of all fight sequences in Kannada films with the entire major heroes. Thus, he took many risks to evolve as an actor. The actor landed up in getting mini-scale roles not only in films but also in television series. In 2015, his fans had loved him to watch in RX Soori, which was an action –oriented film. Currently, he is shooting for Yogaraj Bhat’s ‘’Dana Kayonu’’ that stars Priya Mani as his heroine. He was born on January 20, 1974, in Bengaluru.

Satya Hegde was born on the 17th of May in the year 1975. He was born in Haliyal, Uttar Kannada, Karnataka, India. He is attached to the Kannada Film Industry. He is a cinematographer by profession. He works mainly in Kannada films. He made his debut in this Industry as a cinematographer in the year 2002 through the movie Taali Katuuva Shubhavele. He has been a cinematographer in over twenty films in his entire career. He had reached great heights of success in 2007 and 2013 when he was a part of the movies Duniya and Mayna respectively. He had received awards for these films.

Sadhu Kokila is a Kannada actor who primarily works on comedy roles. He is also a director and music composer. Rakta Kanneeru, Om and Shhh are some of the movies that he directed and also acted. The Vijay starrer Devru was also directed by him.
Born on 24th March, 1966, Sadhu Kokila, also known as Kokila Sadhu, hails from a family of musically inclined people. His father was a violinist in a music group of Karnataka Police Department. His sister and mother are singers. Layendra, Kokila’s brother, is also an actor. Kokila pursued his schooling at St. Joseph’s Indian High School in Bangalore. Kannada star Upendra provided him with the name Sadhu Kokila. 
Kokila kickstarted his career in the film industry as a musician and eventually he was referred to Kasturi Shankar, another musician. He has the reputation of being one of the swiftest keyboard players in India. Kokila has helmed direction for 12 Kannada flicks, and 6 of them were remakes. His directorial venture Anarkali was dropped midway. 
Kokila expresses that audiences and the media question whether his films are a remake or original. He had made up his mind not to endeavor in remakes. He feels that composing music requires a lot of creativity. As far as his comedy stint is concerned, he is loved by the audience. And about acting he feels that it is exciting. Sadhu Kokila has received awards for music direction twice. 
As far as remakes are concerned Kokila is of the view that there are creative limitations. But originals are enjoyable both in the sense of creativity and visualization. Sadhu Kokila along with Doddanna make a good pair for situation comedies. Kokila is compared with Johnny Lever of Bollwyood,for his comedy skills. 
On his personal front, Kokila is wedded to Saleena. They are blessed with two sons. 

Sonu Nigam is a renowned Bollywood singer and composer. He was born on July 30, 1973 in Faridabad, Haryana. Hailing from a musical background, both his parents are singers. He is the son of singer Agam Kumar Nigam. The first performance he gave was at the tender age of 3 when he performed the song Kya Hua Tera Wada by Mohammed Rafi. Besides singing Hindi songs he has recorded songs in Kannada, Assamese, Oriya, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi, Nepali and Marathi languages. He is amongst the top Playback singers in Bollywood and has also released a few individual pop albums. Nigam moved to Mumbai at the age of 19, to start a career in Bollywood as a singer. He is the prodigy of famous Hindustani classical singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. Though he started his career by covering songs of Mohammed Rafi under the T-Series record label owned by Gulshan Kumar, his first break came in 1990 when he did playback singing in the movie called Janam. In 1995 he started hosting the popular musical TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, after which he delivered the famous single Acha Sila Diya Tune for the film Bewafa Sanam. Some of his famous tracks are Sandese Aate Hai from the movie Border (1997), Ye Dil Deewana from the movie Pardes (1997). In 1999 he released his debut album Deewana, he also sang the title track for the movie Kal Ho Na Ho. As an individual composer he has worked on movies like Singh Saab The Great, Sooper Se Ooper and Jal. Nigam has contributed in Britney Spears track I Wanna Go, and has also released a track in the album The Beat of Our Hearts as a tribute to Michael Jacskon. In his small acting career he has acted in films like Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahaani, Love In Nepal and Kaash Aap Humaare Hote. Nigam is married to Madhurima and also had a son named Neevan.

Joni Harsha is a prominent film editor and recently turned producer. He is a veteran of the Tamil and Kannada film industry, having worked behind the scenes on more than a hundred films in the two film industries in South India. Recently, he decided to produce and launched a comedy TV serial that currently airs on primetime TV on the channel Zee Kannada. Harsha began his career in the film industry in the early parts of the 1990’s.

Nagendra Kumar is an Indian cinematographer and a film director who predominantly works in Telugu Cinema. He was born on 9th January 1962 in Bangalore. He has worked for around 95 feature films and 45 television films in many languages like Telugu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Bihari, Odia, Marathi, and Urdu. He made his debut as director of photography for the movie Srivari Chindulu.

Devaraj is a Kannada actor who works in theatre and film industry. He has worked in Tamil and Telugu film industries as well during his career spanning more than 25 years. He was born on 20th September 1960, in Bangalore. He worked in HMT for 9 years before he started his Sandalwood journey.

The two times national award winning actor for supporting roles Dattanna alias HG Dattatreya was working in Air Force, but was interested in acting. He is one of the actors, who are highly qualified and also held a position as a principal in the management academy of HAL. Acting was his passion and so, he continued to do films regardless of awards. Although awards are definitely an encouragement for the actor, but to continue his journey in over 90 films that spanned over 26 years is indeed a remarkable feat. Although he chose to take up supporting actor role or even in character roles, he is known for his versatile performances in Kannada film industry. 

In many Kannada films, the central plot revolved around him, therefore, giving a greater satisfaction to this actor, who had underplayed his role as per the script always. HG Dattatreya had excelled in many movies, especially in Munnudi (2000) and Bharath Stores (2012) that fetched him a national award. For his effortless and natural performance of a small time grocery retailer in Kannada film Bharath Store, he was given a special jury award. Most of the actors in the tinsel town are not comfortable doing minor roles, but this actor has no qualms about it. He also impressed the Telugu audience with his performance in Thila Danam. His acting wooed audiences with brilliant performance in Kempe Gowda (2011). Many would have raised eyebrows at the decision of Dattanna to move towards tinsel town, but so far, he received applauds for his acting in many films. Known for his magnificent acting prowess in Kannada cinema, he has bagged many State film awards too and won an International award. In the years that followed after his journey from theater to Kannada screen, the actor has carved a niche for himself. 

Besides grabbing the National Awards twice in 2003 and 2012, Dattareya had received the Best Actor Award in International Film Festival in Fiji in 2013. Dattareya’s performance in Neer Dose with “Jaggesh,” "Haripriya" and Suman Ranganathan is unforgettable. In 2017, he played in Srinivasa Kalyana, “Jilebi,” a comedy horror thriller, Prathima, “Raajakumara,” Tab, Kempirve and Hombanna. In 2018, he played in more than half a dozen films including a web series titled Joshelay. 2019 started with success for Dattareya through Jaggesh movie Premier Padmini. He played in the high budgeted multi-starrer Bollywood film, Mission Mangal with Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen and Sonakshi Sinha, directed by Jagan Shakti.

Thanks to his underrated yet extremely sincere performances in half a dozen films. To sum up his acting ability, he had given strong proof of his acting talents holding his own against the biggest banners of Kannada cinema.

Raghava Uday was a film actor who worked particularly in Kannada film industry. His noted works include Danger, Bullet Rani, Raate, etc. Raghava has worked in Tamil films as well besides Kannada. Born in 1978 in Bengaluru, Karnataka Raghava completed his schooling from NSVK High School in Bengaluru and did his graduation from University Law College, Bangalore University. While talking about his interests, the actor had told that he likes Gymming and Horse Riding. Prior to entering the film industry, Uday belonged to the slum and used to drive auto rickshaw to meet the financial needs of his family. Raghava Uday started his career as an actor with the movie Jayammana Maga in 2013. Directed by Vikas, the movie is a romantic comedy starring Duniya Vijay, Raghava Uday as lead actors.
