Kannada Movie Review Swartharatna - Cast & Crew

Ishita Varsha is a Kannada Actress who plays the role of Maaya in the famous Kannada TV series, Agnisakshi, which is going on since 2013. She gained quite a lot of praise and popularity for her performance. Ishita made her Sandalwood debut into the film industry with the movie Swartharathna, directed by Ashwin. The movie got released in 2018, her role was of a tomboy girl, and it was portrayed well by her. Ishita Varsha recently tied the knot in 2019 with her long-term boyfriend, a well-known choreographer in a private ceremony with close ones.

Sneha Singh is an Indian professional Dancer and Assistant Choreographer who was born on the 26th of October in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Sneha was born to an international Martial Arts expert father by the name of Soke Jagdish Singh. Sneha’s first limelight moment was at a young age; when she was eight, she appeared on a popular Sony Tv reality show titled 'Boogie Woogie.' Sneha Singh took professional dance training in Bharat Natyam for eight years. When Sneha turned 16, she started teaching dance at various schools and colleges.

Sudha Belawadi is best known as Ganesh’s mother in the iconic movie Mungaru Male. The talented television and film actress hails from an illustrious family of artistic personalities.  Her brother is Prakash Belawadi, who is a well known theater and film personality. She considers her mother Bhargavi Narayan as a role model as she is a veteran in the industry. Sudha’s husband Sathya  Horanadu too is a scriptwriter and has written the script for the movie Swadesh. Ashwin Kodange is an Indian Chef who joined the movie Industry as a director. Ashwin started as an assistant director on the Rank Raju and Raju Kannada medium. After working on a Telugu movie and a Hindi movie titled Perfect Girl, and writing lyrics and dialogues in a few songs in both Hindi and Kannada, He turned to an independent director with a debut film titled Swartharatna.

Adarsh Gunduraj is a young Indian professional Chartered Accountant who has turned into an actor. Adarsh worked in various MNCs before he started his Chartered Accountancy firm, but throughout all this time he didn't ignore his creative side and love for art. His art calling was so strong that he decided to enroll in an acting course at the Government Film Institute, where he picked up some other skills such as swimming, horse riding, dancing and doing stunts.

Raushan Jha [based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India] worked as a producer for Love Alive and became India’s youngest film producer, making the record. The film was released in 2016, in which Roshan Jha played a leading role. Besides, he wrote the story of Love Alive and the film was critically acclaimed by many in the film industry. Roshan Jha is not a passionate actor but a writer and producer by default. He is also a founder of Sunaao Music, which gives the audience choose musical songs. Raushan Jha is one of the widely searched actors and producers of today’s time. He has also worked as an assistant cameraman and second assistant cameraman. He worked for the making of such films as Maanikya (2014), Krishna Leela (2015), Mr Airavata (2015), and Mungaru Male 2 (2016).

Bharath B. J is a music producer, singer, and composer from India who works in Kannada cinema. At first, Bharath was singing non-film light songs. Eventually, he picked up music production and programming skills. Bharath’s first word-work was for the 2010 short movie Simply Kailawesome which starred Srujan Lokesh and directed by MG Srinivas. In 2013 Bharath got his breakthrough from a project titled Simple Agi Ondh Love Story, the project was a huge success which brought about the rapid rise of its crew members; director Suni, actor Shwetha Srivatsav along with Bharath himself; to immense popularly.

DJ Goapu is a Bangalore based DJ who started his music career in 1999. He is known for his funky house, thru progressive and tech house genres. He is credited with minimal tech mixtape being one of the popular ones. He comes from a live music background and was grown to be one of the popular DJs in the city. He is especially known to understand his audience, and take them in his favor in order to play accordingly.

Jayanth Gourish Kaikini is an Indian Lyricist, Story Teller and Poet working in Kannada Cinema and Kannada Literature. Jayanth was born on the 24th of January 1955 in Gokarna, Uttara Kannada, Karnataka State, India. Jayanth was born to Gourish Kaikini, a Kannada litterateur and Shanta, a school teacher, and a social worker. After a masters in Biochemistry which he attained from Karnataka University, Dharwad, Kaikini moved to Mumbai where he was working as a Chemist. He is now living in Bangalore with his wife and two children. Jayanth is regarded as one of the most prominent writers in Kannada today. He writes film scripts, poetry, and short stories.

On 22 July, 1995, Armaan Malik was born in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is a playback singer by profession. Armaan belongs to a music family. His father, Daboo Malik, is also a singer and music director. The singer is the nephew of the famous Hindi music director, Anu Malik. Armaan has a brother, Amaal Malik, who is also a music director.

DV Mohan Krishna is a famous Carnatic classical vocalist from Andhra Pradesh. He is successful in his field for the past twenty years. He is not blind by birth inspite lost his eye sight at the final year of his B.COM degree because of Conjunctivitis. In addition to music, he also had a hobby of reading books. He learned music by the inspiration of international vocalist, Vaggeyakara. He mentioned that the biggest blessing in his life is guru Dr. Bala Murali Krishna.

Vijay Prakash is an Indian playback singer and film composer. He was born in Mysore and moved to Mumbai in 1996. He worked in so many Hindi films including Blue, Yuvraaj, Swades, Kaal, Lakshya, Matrubhoomi, Tere Naam, Cheeni Kum, Raavan, and Force.

Sadhu Kokila is a Kannada actor who primarily works on comedy roles. He is also a director and music composer. Rakta Kanneeru, Om and Shhh are some of the movies that he directed and also acted. The Vijay starrer Devru was also directed by him.
Born on 24th March, 1966, Sadhu Kokila, also known as Kokila Sadhu, hails from a family of musically inclined people. His father was a violinist in a music group of Karnataka Police Department. His sister and mother are singers. Layendra, Kokila’s brother, is also an actor. Kokila pursued his schooling at St. Joseph’s Indian High School in Bangalore. Kannada star Upendra provided him with the name Sadhu Kokila. 
Kokila kickstarted his career in the film industry as a musician and eventually he was referred to Kasturi Shankar, another musician. He has the reputation of being one of the swiftest keyboard players in India. Kokila has helmed direction for 12 Kannada flicks, and 6 of them were remakes. His directorial venture Anarkali was dropped midway. 
Kokila expresses that audiences and the media question whether his films are a remake or original. He had made up his mind not to endeavor in remakes. He feels that composing music requires a lot of creativity. As far as his comedy stint is concerned, he is loved by the audience. And about acting he feels that it is exciting. Sadhu Kokila has received awards for music direction twice. 
As far as remakes are concerned Kokila is of the view that there are creative limitations. But originals are enjoyable both in the sense of creativity and visualization. Sadhu Kokila along with Doddanna make a good pair for situation comedies. Kokila is compared with Johnny Lever of Bollwyood,for his comedy skills. 
On his personal front, Kokila is wedded to Saleena. They are blessed with two sons. 

Sarigama Viji is an Indian film actor who has worked predominantly in the Kannada movie industry. His previous film to hit the theatres was Dakota's picture in the year 2012. Sarigama Viji is married to Smt Manjula and has a son and worked in NGEF before pursuing his acting career, In 1980, he made his debut as an actor in the Kannada film Beluvalada Madilalli. He acted in nearly 270 films in Kannada. He has also worked as an Assistant director in 80 films. Samsaradalli Sarigama, a theatre play that he directed and acted on, was staged over 1390 times in Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, and Bombay.
