Parvathi is an Indian actress and dubbing artist. Mainly, she is a Malayalam actress and has done a lot of Malayalam movies. She began her career as a Radio Programme Producer. She made her debut in the film industry with the movie, ‘Out Of Syllabus’. It was directed by renowned director Vishwanathan. He has given many great hits to the film industry. For many years, before she stepped in the film industry, she did a show on the radio where many celebrities were frequently interviewed. She is an actor, model, and an anchor as well. After doing the movie ‘Out Of Syllabus’, she did an ad film. After that, she was approached by Director Lijo Jose Pellissery for his next venture ‘Double Barrel’.

Peering through her professional looking glasses and with a no frills dress pattern, Aparna Gopinath hardly looks a typical Malayalam film actress. Perhaps her looks reveal her approach to movies and also her background. The main forte of Aparna has been her serious theatre acting and her specialising in western dance forms. Her entry into movies may, however, have happened due to a combination of circumstances. Both her parents were movie buffs, always discussing about films, and were very much infatuated with the screen exploits of the veteran matinee idols of Malayalam cinema like Mammooty and Mohanlal. While this may have indirectly coaxed Aparna into films, the fact that she herself was a theatre artist from her childhood days facilitated and expedited her entry into the world of movies. Being basically from Chennai, Aparna was actively involved with the progressive theatre groups there, prior to her entering movies, and she had acted in several classic plays both in Malayalam as also Shakespearean plays in English. In her maiden film “American-Born Confused Desi” (ABCD)”, she co-starred with Dulquar Salmaan, son of matinee idol Mammootty, and portrayed the character of a college girl. The fact she got the main female role and acted opposite one of the big names was not the only satisfaction for her, since the film was a tremendous success at box office, and drew much appreciation for her acting. This was a much bigger bonus for her. However, in spite of this commercial success, she made her intentions clear that she had no plans to portray the typical run of the mill roles in her movies, but would prefer more challenging roles in future films. Perhaps her role in her next film “Bicycle Thief” which was thriller and not a stereotyped move, she found her preference being fulfilled at least partly, as her acting in the role of a Bank employee was also much appreciated by the movie goers. In her subsequent films like “Mannar Mathai Speaking 2” - an out an out comedy, and sequel to the original 1995 version; and “Happy Journey” she had put in creditable performances once again establishing her acting credentials. She is also getting a chance to act alongside the veteran Mammoothy in the more recent film “Munnariyippu”, but acting apart, she still actively pursues her dancing aspirations, teaching others also in the process.

Dulquer Salmaan is a popular Malayalam actor, who appears in Tamil films too. He is the son of the Malayalam Super Star Mammooty. Dulquer Salmaan is married to Amal Sufiya in the year 2011, before his film entry. Dulquer Salmaan has plans to act in Telugu films too, and discussions are going on. Dulquer wanted to make his debut through his friend’s film and hence rejected many opportunities. His debut was through the film Second Show by Srinath Rajendran in the year 2012. His second movie was Ustad hotel by Anwar Rasheed and the film was a hit. In the year 2013, he starred in ABCD American Born Confused Desi. This film revealed his singing talent too. Dulquer Salmaan sang a song Johnny Mone in this film ABCD. He entered the Tamil film industry through Vaayai Moodi Paesavum, a bilingual movie in Malayalam, Samsaaram Arogyathinu Haanikaram. It was a different movie and the movie has Nazriya and Madhu Bala with him. Bangalore Days was his next venture with lots of stars like Praveena, Nazriya, Nivin Pauly, Fahath Fazil, Parvathy Menon, Kalpana and Nithya Menon. It was a super hit movie and it is being remade in Tamil with Aarya in the lead. 100 Days of Love was another hit from Dulquer Salmaan, which got released in 2015. Popular director Mani Ratnam, molded Dulquer Salmaan in his tent with the film O Kadal Kanmani and the film was a super hit with the music by Rahman and performance by Prakashraj. Dulquer’s next film is Charlie, which is set to release on Onam. 

Do you remember the funny side-kick of Mohanlal from Jeetu Joseph’s brilliant Drishyam (2013)? Yes, it was played by Neeraj Madhav. Today, he is one of the most promising actors. His younger brother Navneeth is also a well-known actor. Before acting, he had started off his career in dance. He is a professional Bharata Natyam artist. So, it was not surprising to see him making into the final round of the first “Super Dancer.” He is an SRM University graduate and an alumni of School of Drama and Fine Arts, Thrissur. Thanks to Drishyam, Neeraj’s comic side is now used in various films. But before, films like Homely Meals and Sapthamashree Thaskaraha (2014) gave him the right experience.

Martin Prakkat is a movie director who works in the Malayalam movie industry. He is also a producer, writer, and photographer. Martin went to Changanassery SB College. It was here at Changanassery that he started doing theater. He won the Best Actor Award several times in his college dramatics fest. After college, Martin took up photography and worked with the Vanitha Publications, a sister publication of the magazine Manorama, for ten years. He got into photography as a means to enter the films. After his stint at photography, he started writing scripts with Byju Chandran, his college friend. He was spotted by South superstar Mammootty, with whom Martin did his first film. He has directed three movies in a short span of time. Martin made his directorial debut with the movieBest Actor, which released in 2010. The movie was jointly written by Prakkat and Bipin Chandran. It had debutante actress Sruthi Krishnan and superstar Mammootty in the lead. The movie showcases the journey of a teacher in a primary school from Uttar Pradesh, played by Mammootty, who dreams of becoming a film actor. Martin had earlier named the movie Oru Cinemakkatha. The movie was well received. The critics also praised Prakkat’s efforts. Martin’s next directorial venture came out in 2013. The movie’s name wasABCD (American-born Confused Desi). The movie was produced by Shibu Thameens and had his first movie’s lead actor Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The film also had the likes of Aparna Gopinath, Jacob Gregory, and Tovino Thomas in important roles. It was Aparna’s debut movie, which was finalized after some actresses were considered for the role. The movie revolved around the two cousins John Issac and Korah. ABCDfailed to garner as much success as his first movie but did decent business.

The precious icon of the Indian music industry, Gopi Sundar has composed his soulful music for more than fifty movies to date. In 2014, he composed the songs & background score for the Malayalam movie "1983" and was awarded the National Award.the movie got a good critic rating of 3.5 out of 5.abrid shine, the debut director of the movie was awarded the Kerala State Awards in the category of the best debut director. Alongside the film bagged two more awards for the category of best & second best actor in the same award ceremony of 2014. He was born in Kochi & opted for joining the music industry for his career. Gopi has a good knowledge of instruments like Tabla & keyboard & has worked as a keyboard programmer in some of Bollywood hit films.
