Plot

The film revolves around Shrikanth (Srikanth). He is upset because of the various strange incidents that frighten him. He is experiencing mental disturbances that create a lot of confusion in his life. He sees blood passing from the floor where he steps, hears weird noises, and experiences nightmares in which he kills someone by choking him with a window curtain. Shrikanth is in great distress because of these incidents. Things turn worse for him when he loses his job and his wife (Puja Javeri) decides to part ways.

In order to know the reason behind his mental disturbance, he seeks the help of a psychiatrist (Ashish Vidyarthi). While doing his therapy, the psychiatrist discovers that Shrikanth’s first wife (Vidya Pradeep) also suffered from a similar mental disorder. To know more about this case, the psychiatrist decides to start investigating Shrikanth’s house.

Will Shrikanth be able to get rid of his mental disturbance? Why is he experiencing such strange incidents? Is there any supernatural force behind this? What is the connection of Shrikanth’s first wife with these incidents?

Star Performance

Srikanth gave a fantastic performance. His performance deserves a lot of appreciation. He shows all the characteristics of a confused and distressed person. His acting is full of emotions and looks very realistic.

Pooja Jhaveri and Vidya Pradeep, who played the role of two women, deliver outstanding performances. Both look beautiful on the screen.

Ashish Vidyarthi gave a decent performance. He perfectly executed the character of an intelligent psychiatrist. The way he carries out the investigation adds depth to this film. Kaali Venkat, Delhi Ganesh, Praveena, and the rest of the cast provided good support.

Analysis

The film is full of mystery, thriller, and suspense elements. The film keeps the audience engaged with its interesting plot full of twists. It takes them on a journey of self-exploration and keeps them guessing till the end. The film explores the themes of psychological disorders, past traumas, and truth. The last twenty minutes are superb.

The performances by Shrikanth and the other leading actors make this film impressive. The music and the background score hold the film firmly and give a thrilling experience. The cinematography further enriches the film’s mysterious atmosphere. Overall, Echo is a highly recommended film.
