Hariharan is born and brought up in Mumbai and he is well-versed in Tamil, Malayalam, English and Hindi. Hariharan is the offspring of famous Carnatic vocalists H.A.S. Mani and Shrimati Alamelu. Hariharan inherited the music skills from his mother. Hindustani music was made known to him in his youth. Hariharan indeed, took great efforts to reach the position that he is in today; he used to practice singing for 13 hours.
During the initial stages of his career Hariharan used to sing for television serials. After winning a prize in a competition at all India level Hariharan was offered to sing in the film “Gaman” by late music composer Jaidev. The song “Ajeeb Sa Neha Mujh Par Guzar Gaya Yaaron" from the film earned him recognition that he rightly deserved.
The song “Thamizha Thamizha” from the movie Roja was an instant hit and Hariharan, who sung it was awarded the “Best Male Playback Singer” in the Tamil Nadu State Government Film Awards.
Hariharan was introduced into the Tamil film industry by A R Rahman, who was also a newbie at that time. Since then, the duo created magic with soul stirring songs in films, including Minsara Kanavu, Jeans, Indian, Muthu, Taal, Mudhalvan, Iruvar, Indira, Rangeela, Alaipayuthey, Kannathil MuthamIttal, Sivaji etc. Hariharan is credited with the Padma Shri Award and has received National awards for a couple of times. Hariharan is the proud singer of around 700 songs. He had also sung in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.
...7. Prakash Jha
Prakash Jha, a director, film producer and screenwriter, was born on 27th of February 1952. ‘Prakash Jha Productions’ is his production venture. Hailing from Bihar, Prakash Jha went on to study B.Sc Honors in Ramjas College. Eventually he stopped studies and came to Mumbai, wanting to be a painter. As he was preparing for entrance exam for a course in painting, Prakash Jha watched the movie Dharma, and thus developed a passion for film making. The year 1973 saw him joining the Film And Television Institute of India, Pune, in order to study editing. But unfortunately the studio was shut down and thus Prakash returned to Mumbai and earned his living. Initially Prakash Jha was working on documentaries.
His documentary, 'Face After Storm' received the 'Best Non Feature Film National Award'. Prakash’s debut commercial film, Hip Hip Hurray was released in 1984. This film was written by Gulzar and had Deepti Naval starring in it. Then came Damul in the same year and its stupendous success made Prakash a filmmaker to reckon with. The film gained both the National Award and Filmfare Award. His flick Parinati was released during the year 1986. This film had the talented Nandita Das amongst others sharing screen space. The year 2010 saw Prakash directing the political thriller Rajneeti. The film took up the story of Mahabharat in today’s world. Ranbir Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgan, Nasureedin Shah and Manoj Bajpai acted in this film. Then Aarakshan was released which had Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan sharing screen space.
During 2012 Prakash’s film Chakravyuh, starring Abhay Deol, Kabir Bedi and Arjun Rampal, amongst others was released. Prakash Jha also had a brief stint in politics but it didn’t work out. He is greatly involved in social activism; he is committed to a NGO named Anubhooti. Prakash Jha also did quite some TV serials. On his personal front, Prakash Jha was wedded to Deepti Naval but later divorced. This couple had adopted a girl.

Srikkanth Krishnamachari is the man behind the Indian Cricket Team’s perfection then and even now. He is the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team born on the 21st of December in the year 1951. He was known for his blaster batting skills with full aggression becoming an inspiration to others. He had partnered with Sunil Gavaskar for the opening of the innings. Srikkanth Krishnamachari was a part in winning the Prudential World Cup in the year 1983, the matches had 60 overs per team, and the number of teams participated was 8.

Brahmanandam was born on 1st February 1956. He was the seventh son to Kanneganti Nagalingachari and Kannaganti Lakshmi Narsamma. He completed his high schooling from a high school at Sattenapalle. He later pursued his intermediate and graduation from D.N.R College, Bhimavaram. He completed his post graduation in Telugu literature from Andhra University. Before becoming an actor, Brahmanandam had worked as a lecturer in Atthilli for nine years.
Brahmanandam is considered as one of the most versatile Indian comic actors, noted particularly for his comic expressions. He has gone ahead to receive many accolades in the world. In the year 2007, he was in the Guinness World Record for appearing in the highest number of films that is over 1000 movies. The government of India honored him with Padma Shri Award in the year 2009. Brahmanandam was awarded the Best Actor in a comic role in the year 2011 at The Hyderabad Times Film Awards.
In the year 2012 in Dookudu, he was voted the Best Comedian in the Cinemaa Awards. The same year he was also awarded the Best Comedian in the SIIMA Awards. He went ahead to clinch the Best Actor in a Comic Role Award in the TOIFA awards ceremony. Surely Brahmanandam deserves all this because of his natural talent and hard work in the acting industry. Brahmanandam is married to Lakshmi Kanneganti, and he is blessed with two children, namely; Raja Goutham and Siddharth.

Karate Raja is a popular villain and character artist in Tamil movies. Vijayan and worked with him in over 100 Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu films, including Geethanjali, Nayakan, and Anjali and Kadhalan, for which they were honoured with the National Award for best editing.
