Plot
The story revolves around a village girl, Sundari, who marries a software engineer, Prabhu, and moves to the city. Things go fine until Prabhu loses his job and Sundari has to take the necessary steps to balance the situation. The narrative goes around a series of events in Sundari's life, with a big twist at the end.
Star Performance
Poorna, in the lead role, has done an excellent job in the film. She portrays realistic emotions on screen, which engages the audience with her story, building a personal connection. She maintains her character with utmost precision, which is so subtle that it cannot be noticed. She makes her audience feel what her character is feeling in the movie.
Analysis
No matter how good the actors were in their roles, the film is problematic on multiple levels. The plot of the film demonstrates a preconceived notion of the male gaze. The characters are designed in a similar manner, especially Sundari. Even though some might ignore those aspects and focus on the performance, the fact that it is problematic cannot be ignored.
