Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi is a drama television series, which started airing on September 1, 2014 up to the present. The show was produced by and Sumeet H Mittal under their own banner, Shashi Sumeet Productions and directed by Jaffar SK, and Mann Singh Manku. It was broadcasted from Monday to Saturday evenings on Sony PAL. Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi revolves around the life of Sonia (played by ), a conscientious girl who acts more than a mother to her five sisters and Raghav (played by ), an out of boyhood man who later took all the responsibilities of taking care of Sonia and his five sisters-in-law.

Sonia is living with her five sisters and owns a dress shop. She got an order from Ratna Roy, one of the top textile designers who offer her to decorate her house for the festival. Raghav, the son of Ratna Roy (played by ) will accidentally bumps into her as he is wearing a mask. Frooti (played by ), the youngest sister of Sonia, draw something in a paper and was oblivious that the paper has Raghav’s picture. She gave it to Sonia and puts it in her bag. When they got home, her other sisters found the picture and assume that it was Sonia’s boyfriend. They quickly asked her about him and since she was unknown about the person in the photo, she calls him as Bobbyji. Ever since their parents died, Sonia took all the responsibilities on taking care of her sisters. She’s waiting for them to be married first and have someone that will take care for each one of them before she will marry.

After some weeks, Raghav became a trainee of Khan Chacha, a friend of his lost father who owns the restaurant next to Sonia’s dress shop. Khan Chacha is also a friend of Sonia and her sisters with whom they usually bought ingredients from their house. One day, Khan asked Raghav to fetch some flour at Sonia’s house. When he entered the house, no one was there so he headed in the kitchen. He saw the vessel that contains flour placed on a high shelf. As he attempted to reach it, the vessel accidentally falls and his body was covered by flour. The sisters recognize him and they are happy to see him as Bobbyji. Later in the story, the girls started to build friendship with Raghav. Until one day, Sonia told Bobbyji the truth and he promised to help her in resolving the situation. Eventually, Sonia and Raghav started to love each other.
