, Maniyan Pillai Raju were all the major lead actors in the serial. The struggles of the family are shown in a satirical manner. The eight women in the serial include the many characters like the wife, daughter, aunts and the maid. Very often new faces were brought to the serial to add colour to the serial.
Several elements of fun were intertwined and portrayed in the serial. Misunderstandings, ignorance, fights, marital discourse, all are blended perfectly to create this work. The character of Jaffar Idukki in the serial was particularly well known and appreciated. Of similar interest is the child actress of the series. The boy acts as a female child in the serial and has exceptionally well done his (her) part. Each day, the serial brings fresh perspectives and fresh ideas into the play that there was no element of dull or boring repetition in the story line. This was a seven day comedy serial telecasted on all the seven days a week unlike the usual five day serials. The serial was rated well irrespective of changing the time of telecast many a times.
